This is a French Apple Cobbler recipe that was brought over by a French-Canadian woman named Marie Soucy. This specific apple cobbler is still being made by French-Canadian's in Salem. A personal connection: my grandmother has made this every Christmas for as long as I can remember. She recalls her mother making it for her when she was younger.
