Robert E. Larter's "A Chronicle of Salem," 1967

In 1967, Robert E. Larter completed "A Chronicle of Salem." Before it was installed in the grand foyer stairwell of Salem State University's Meier Hall, a perfect black and white image of the mural was taken. Once it was installed, the mural could be enjoyed from the close quarters of each of the four levels of the stairwell, but no such single, unobstructed image could again be taken.
