Through these Artifacts you will understand that the overriding goal of the programs was educating immigrants to become productive members of American Society. The pamphlets and educational outlines show how the government and civic organizations worked hand in hand in this education of these immigrants.  The American education of immigrants was required not only for government but also by employers.  The education of immigrants directly affected the secondary goal of increasing the economic productivity of the immigrants. This would have helped the labor market and the economy. The aim of the Americanization of immigrants was to have a very homogeneous society that worked well and supported the American economy.
