Disposal of the Dead

The way the people in China in the 1920's dispose of the dead is very different than how American's dispose of the dead. They don't bury the bodies after they have died. The body is just left there, and if something gets it, then it gets it.

Funerals are different in China as well. There the color for mourning is white. Here the color for mourning is black. Also, one is not supposed to wear red to a funeral in America. However, they drape the coffin in red in China. Whitman said in his letter, "our methods of cremation are certainly most sanitary." [6]
