The Black Lobster at Stromberg's Cave
The Black Lobster at Stromberg’s Cove in Salem is staffed by 3 generations of family members. Peter Kastrinakis parents purchased the Stromberg’s Restaurant in 1970. When Kastrinakis took control in 2006, he decided to change the name. Peter stated that "The reason we changed the name was to attract more tourists,” he said. “If they hear the name Stromberg’s Restaurant, all that means is it’s a family-owned restaurant. By changing it to Black Lobster at Stromberg’s Cove, we felt people would know it’s a seafood restaurant, and they’d know that we’re sitting on the ocean". When reading the restuarants website I came across that The Black Lobster at Stromberg’s Cove in Salem is known to be the best Northshore oceanside restuarant. The lobster and other seafood dishes are all fresh and purchased locally and the owners have had strong relationships with the best local fisherman in the area for more than 10 years which the restuarant to have the highest quality seafood available in the market. According to the article "The 10 Best Restuarantss in Salem, Massachusetts" describes The Black Lobster at Stromberg’s Cove to be one of the top 10 best restuarant in Salem.

As soon as you see the word fresh you think of clean and properly cooked. This persuades the customer to want to buy the dish because it shows the restuarants is well put together. “The phrase we focus on is ‘fresh, affordable seafood with an ocean view,’ ” said Peter Kastrinakis. “It’s a comfortable atmosphere, not too fancy. It’s the type of place you can bring your grandmother to, or bring your young children.” The word fresh is used mutiple times in the menu.
The menu consists of Appetizers, Sandwiches, Soup& Salads, Fried Seafood Platers, Lobster, Special Drinks etc. The black lobster menu is similar to the food we eat today. For example, America is known for its greasy food. In the section of Fried Seafood and Platters consist of the fried food. The good thing about this menu is that it is beneficial to everyone, for example, the vegetarian's, kids, and adults. The restaurant also consists of fresh foods such as the lobsters. This menu consists of all types of seafood that everyone will be able to enjoy. Seafood is a very popular New England food that everyone is familiar with. This shows that we can find many similarities throughout the restaurants that we eat at. It can also be based on the location the restaurant is in. For example, my restaurant is located in Salem, and Salem is known for Seafood, so you will most likely find more restaurants in the Salem area to include seafood.
The menu is very clear and describes each dish perfectly. Each dish gives a description of what will be served in the dish. Beside the menu shows a price for the dish and how big the servings will be. This description is shown to inform the customers of the servings. The words fresh, grilled, and fried is repeated many times on the menu. The menu consists of these types of food and if you're a big fan, then you have entered into the right restaurant. Some of the fresh foods were under Entrees or the Sandwiches, the grilled food was in the section of Appetizers and lastly, the fried food was under the section of Fried Seafood & Platter and Appetizers. Each section of the menu is divided into sections so that the customer is able to see what exactly is being offered.
